PRIVACY POLICY

One Life is a party card game.  We built it to be layed with friends, not to collect data about you.  This policy explains what little information we do handle and why.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect almost nothing.  Specifically:

      • Player Names:   Names entered during game setup are used only to display in the game.  They are never stored on our servers, never linked to any account, and disappear when the game ends.
      • Room Codes (multiplayer):  When you host or join an online game, a temporary 4-character room code is generated.  This code and the associated game session are deleted from our servers when the session ends.
      • Purchase Records:  In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple.  We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, but we never see your payment information, Apple ID, or any personal details associated with the transaction.

INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

  • No account or login required
  • No email address
  • No location data
  • No device identifiers
  • No analytics or tracking
  • No advertising
  • No third-party data sharing
  • No microphone data stored

    MICROPHONE ACCESS

    The app includes an optional voice recognition feature in Challenge mode.  If you enable it, your device’s microphone is used only to detect spoken words during active gameplay.  Audio is processed on-device by your operating system’s speech recognition service and is never recorded, transmitted to our servers, or stored in any form.  you can disable this feature at any time using the mic button in the game.

    MULTIPLAYER SERVER

    Online multiplayer uses a server hosted by Railway (railway.app) to relay game state between players in the same room.  Only the minimum game data needed to sync play (player names, game actions, card draws) passes through this server.  This data is held in memory only for the duration of the game session and is not written to any database or retained after the session ends.

    CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

    One Life does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.  Because we do not collect personal information from any users at all, the app is safe for users of all ages in this regard.  If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

    CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

    If we ever change howe we handle data in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.  We will not reduce your privacty protections without clear notice.
